Expanding Access

By collaborating with schools, families, and community-based stakeholders, we aim to help identify consistent funding sources for school-based mindful awareness programs.

Mindful Awareness is Foundational to All Learning

Educators are continuously asked to add one more activity, one more program, to their already full plates. Mindful awareness is the plate.

  • By improving attention, self-regulation, and well-being, consistent mindful practice leads to academic success and a better school climate.

  • Educators who embody mindful awareness experience less stress and burnout.

  • Student-educator connection is enhanced.

  • Home-school communication become stronger.

  • Students share mindful awareness with family members, creating a ripple effect of well-being and reducing the stigma of mental health throughout the community.

Expanding access to funding is a critical next step for implementing daily, evidence-based mindful awareness practices in schools. Mindful awareness is a low-cost prevention strategy that benefits the whole school community. Also, providing funding for professional development and continued training will help educators experience the benefits and equip them to integrate these practices into their classrooms and beyond.

Collaboration is key! Join us in educating families and communities about the importance of mindful awareness as a strategy for building good mental health and well-being. Help us mobilize stakeholders to fund school-based programs.

The benefits educators gain from mindful awareness are not a temporary fix for deeper issues within the education and mental health systems. Instead, reducing stress through mindful awareness can improve clarity and well-being, and empower educators with a stronger sense of agency within the school community. When both educators and students experience enhanced well-being, it helps create a more cohesive and thriving educational ecosystem for everyone involved.
